FAQs


Fees

Q. Do Queen Street charge any Reference Fees?
A. No. At Queen Street we do take up references but at no cost to you. We do however, ask you to provide us with a letter of employment from your current job and a P60 or wage slip to help us with our reference search.

Q. Are there any Inventory Fees?
A. The inventory is completed when you collect the keys to your apartments. At no extra cost to you.

Q. Are there any application fees involved when renting at Queen Street?
A. No, for standard assured shorthold tenancies for six months or longer. Unlike most agents this is free, meaning that you could make a saving of up £165+. In addition many agencies charge a fee to have more than one person's name on the tenancy agreement, again we do not.

Furthermore there are no inventory or reference fees.

The Tenancy Agreement

Q. What is the minimum contract period?
A. 6 months. Tenancy agreements can be for longer terms subject to agreement. A three month let can be carried out if all monies are paid in advance. Subject to an administration charge.

Q. I want to extend my contract how do I go about doing this?
A. We will normally send you documentation about extending your contract so all you need to do is complete and return the form then find time to come and visit the Management Office to complete your extension.

Q. Does your landlord control the whole building?
A. Yes, unlike an agent, we do not have to seek authority for most repairs. This enables to carry repairs promptly, sometimes the same day.

Facilities

Q. What Facilities are available to me at Queen Street?
A. Queen Street offers you an on-site swimming pool, sauna and fitness room. Further to this there is an on-site maintenance and management team from Monday to Friday during office hours, to answer any questions you may have and to assist you.

Sky TV is also available, we have the dish so all you need is the decoder box and to subscribe to Sky. Each apartment also has a telephone line available. We also have a car park available subject to a licence fee.

Q. What do I do If my Washing Machine or other white goods stops working?
A. At Queen Street we have a Management office open Monday to Friday, within normal office hours. Just inform us of your problem and our caretakers will either fix the problem themselves or call the necessary workmen.

Q. How do I go about setting up my utilities and services?
A. When you move in we provide you with all your meter readings and phone numbers to call for registering yourself for utilities. You are free to choose your preferred utility supplier. However, if you want help we can assist you to set-up your home phone, broadband, electricity and mobile phone through our preferred utility supplier, Utility Warehouse.

Security

Q. What is the security like at Queen Street?
A. Security is of prime importance, here at Queen Street. Our main gates are operated by a key fob system. Each key fob is individually programmed to your specific apartment. In addition, there is CCTV on-site. Once you have a television in your apartment you can tune in to our station with the cameras so that you can see our cameras around the site and building.

The site is also visited by an independent uniformed security company.
