Great benefits to moving into a Queen Street Apartment this summer

The temperatures have been soaring and what a great time of year it is to be enjoying all of the awesome things that go on in and around Leicester!

There are a whole host of benefits to moving into a Queen Street Apartment this summer and one of the biggest has to be our location right in the heart of the city and Leicester’s Cultural Quarter.

Here you’ll find some great bars and restaurants to enjoy a good meal or drink or two in, while you sit out in the sunshine and watch the world go by.

There are some amazing festivals and outdoor performances to take in throughout the summer months too, as well as theatre and entertainment to fully immerse yourself in on many a summer evening.

Also, just a stone’s throw away is a ton of outdoor activities to dive into while getting a good old dose of vitamin D.

While our apartments are superbly decorated and come with some top-class facilities, such as a swimming pool, sauna and fitness suite, there’s not much reason to stay indoors when you’re so close to all the great things there are to see and do nearby.

So, saying that, why not consider a studio apartment, as well as one of our beautiful one and two-bed apartments when you’re surrounded by so much!

Here are some more details about just a few of the benefits to moving into a Queen Street Apartment this summer:

Parks, green spaces and outdoors

The parks that are dotted around Leicester city centre make some fantastic places to enjoy a picnic, go for a romantic stroll or keep fit and healthy.

Despite all of the convenience of city centre living, the chance to enjoy some greenery isn’t far away at all either and this is what makes Leicester so special.

For added adventure, there’s also the Outdoor Pursuits Centre, which, based by the river, offers a wide range of challenging outdoor activity experiences designed to stimulate and motivate people of all ages.

Eating alfresco

Before or after an amazing performance at the Curve Theatre, there’s every chance to enjoy a meal that’s just as impressive – and all of it is within walking distance of our property to rent in Leicester.

Here are a few of our most favourite places to eat nearby this summer:

  • Altro Mondo, Humberstone Gate – for some delicious Italian dining.
  • The Exchange Bar, Rutland Street – when you want some great pub grub.
  • Bistro Live, Charles Street – for fantastic live music, dancing and a great atmosphere.
  • Good Earth Restaurant, Free Lane and Herb Restaurant on Granby Street – perfect for those looking for excellent vegetarian dining.
  • Curve Cafe and Bar – wonderful views of passers by on a summer evening and perfect for light bites.
  • Chutney Ivy, Halford Street – a fantastic Indian restaurant based in the heart of Leicester’s Cultural Quarter.

Summer cocktails

Nothing beats a gorgeous cocktail on a summer’s evening and what a great way to reflect on a performance you’ve seen at the Curve or film at the Phoenix! Some of the coolest cocktail bars are conveniently close to us in Queen Street and of course, the best are those hidden gems.

Check out the mysteries of Haycock and Tailbar Associates, on Belvoir Street, which is accessed by a secret black door which opens into a world of old-fashioned cool.

Then there’s one of the Cultural Quarter’s newest and coolest bars, Brick and Beam, which is hidden in a former industrial building, right here on Queen Street!
