The Leicester Comedy Festival celebrates its 26th anniversary!

Kicking off from 6th February is laughs aplenty with the UK’s official comedy party. There is so much to enjoy with the event taking place across a whopping 72 venues across the city. Some of the biggest events are happening at The Curve and Phoenix theatres, right on Queen Street Apartments’ doorstep, just take a look at the following:

  • - Flo and Joan: Alive On Stage – Curve – February 9
  • - An interview with Jo Brand – Curve – Studio – February 10
  • - The Annual Comedy Conversation featuring Tom Allen -  Curve – February 17
  • - Showstopper! The Improvised Musical – Curve – Theatre – February 21
  • - Luca Rutherford’s Political Party – Curve – Rehearsal Room 2 – February 21
  • - Pick of the Fest, including Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2018 Jack Gleadow – Curve – Theatre – February 22
  • - Adam Kay: This Is Going To Hurt – Curve – Theatre – February 23
  • - Comedy Heaven – the finale show of the Leicester Comedy Festival 2019 – February 24

 

For families, part of the Leicester Comedy Festival is the UK kids comedy festival – held at multiple venues across the city and new for 2019.

A particular highlight is James Campbell: The Funny World Of… for children 6+, their parents and anyone who likes comedy without the rude words. It’s on at Curve on Saturday February 9.
